Marriage & Family Therapy
About Me
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, California License MFC 45633. I have a Master of Science degree in Counseling from
California State University East Bay and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
My therapy approach borrows from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as a variety of other theories. I am flexible and collaborative in
determining what works best for each client as an individual. My therapy style reflects my belief that the most important ingredients in therapy
are warmth, acceptance, respect and at least a dash of humor.
I completed a five year Marriage and Family Therapy internship at Anthropos Counseling Center in Livermore. I find that parenting three
children has enriched my training and education with the wisdom and perspective that life experience brings. I also hold a Master of Science
degree in Computer Science and had a career in that field previous to my work as a therapist.
I am truly gratified by my career change and I find deep satisfaction in my work as a therapist. It is an honor to get to know and appreciate
each client.
